Temporary update from Formosa
Wow. I have been so incredibly busy. My brain is working overtime while living in a new land. Some tidbits that I will drop on you before taking off.
You cannot flush toilet paper in most places in Taiwan. You have to put it in the trash in the bathroom. This is because the pipes are old here and cannot handle the toilet paper.
7-11′s are everywhere and everything is very inexpensive and convenient.
Food is great thus far. It’s cheap and tasty. Sometimes I’m not sure what I’m eating but it doesn’t change its taste.
I have to take off to breakfast unfortunately. But I have been taking lots of pictures and videos which I will share soon. Thanks for all your e-mails and kind words. They are highly appreciated and I’m excited about sharing this new adventure with all of you.
Sounds like a very different country, especially not being able to flush the paper down the toilet. Sounds like a very disgusting habit. Yuck!!!!!!!!!! the food seems good, if you think it is tasty it probably is because you are kind of picky. Are you learning how to teach yet? How about your clothes. do you have enough? Or am I going to have to ship you anything. Let us know what you need as soon as you have an address and I will make the trip to the post office and mail it to you. i love you, miss you and hope you will learn a lot from this adventure. Heidi Edit: I am not picky at all and that’s why I like the food. I am learning a lot about teaching. For example, VARG. Visuals, Actions, Rhythm, and Games. I will probably want some clothes shipped to me but I don’t have my own address yet so it will probably have to wait until next week. I LOVE YOU and miss you too.
I came home from Diego’s practice hoping there was something new but i guess you have been very busy. i am not sure what time it is in taiwan right now but i imagine it is tomorrow around noon and you are still busy training. let us know how it is going. love, grandma and grandpa
